Evaluation of the genetics and morphology is not sufficient to guarantee cardiac functionality. Phenotypic assays require precise stimuli response, yet most powerful techniques are low-throughput or destructive. Introduction and validation of cell/tissue-level methods of investigation could increase throughput and validity of assays.
