A facile approach to prepare MNPs-NHC6H4SO3H was proposed in which exhibited excellent catalytic efficiency in the synthesis of 1,4-diazepines containing the tetrazole ring, under microwave irradiation.

Why is it important?
The reaction gave excellent yields in very short reaction times. The catalyst is easily prepared, stable to air, and magnetically recoverable by simple magnetic decantation.
