What is it about?
In the study, it is aimed to reduce fuel consumption by improving the combustion of diesel, and to reduce emissions harmful to the environment and human health. With the thermal barrier coating that limits the heat transfer from the cylinder, an increase in engine power, a decrease in fuel consumption and an improvement in emissions have been achieved. In addition, emissions have been improved with ethanol-diesel mixtures in the engine, which is covered with a thermal barrier as an alternative fuel.

Why is it important?
In this study, different from other studies, ethanol mixtures with a thermal barrier coated semi-adiabatic diesel engine were also investigated.
