What is it about?
A salen derivative, specifically designed for covalently anchoring on silicon, was grafted onto Si(100) surfaces by photochemical hydrosilylation, and onto porous silicon by thermal hydrosilylation. These hybrid systems have been studied by different analytic techniques.
