What is it about?

Recognition of superantigen/class II MHC complex by T cells can be inhibited by peptides derived from the Vb region of its TCR.

Why is it important?

Peptides from the Vb region of TCR could inhibit T cell responses. This could have possible regulatory effects on the induction and regulation of immune responses.

Perspectives

These results suggest that the recognition of superantigen/class II MHC by T cells can be inhibited by peptides related to the V-beta region of its T cell receptor.
