What is it about?

This study is an investigation into whether COVID-19 vaccines could cause death from myocarditis, which is inflammation of the heart. Researchers looked at autopsy reports of people who died after receiving a COVID-19 vaccine and were suspected of having myocarditis caused by the vaccine. They found 28 cases in 14 published studies. In most of these cases, the heart was the only organ affected. The average age of those who died was about 44 years, and most cases died within a week of getting the vaccine. Experts reviewed these cases and concluded that COVID-19 vaccines were likely the cause of death. This research suggests there is a high probability of a causal link between COVID-19 vaccines and death from myocarditis, which is generalizable to cases of sudden, unexpected death in individuals that have received one or more COVID-19 vaccines where autopsies have not been performed.
