What is it about?
In the symptomatic versus incidental groups, symptomatic had more frequently hypopituitarism. Only 20.4% of patients incidentally diagnosed had microadenoma. Most tumours were macroadenomas. Hypopituitarism was present in 18.8% of those patients with microadenomas. Half of those patients diagnosed incidentally were submitted to surgery, compared with 75.8% of those who were diagnosed symptomatically.
