What is it about?

This article describes the preparation of new heterocyclic aromatic molecules such as pyrazoles, quinolines, isoxazoles and pyrimidines using fluorinated 1,3-diketones. This paper shows that the 1,3-diketone scaffold is a valuable means of introducing fluorine in a selective way in the building of aromatic heterocycles.
