Why is it important?

It is very importand that authors choose to publish in the right journal for them. This article encourages journals to think about the ways that the data that underpinns each article can be assessed or deposited and whether that complies with an author's need for open access to their data, or privacy of data, depending on ther research circumstances.

Perspectives

My perspective is that by having a data policy, Journals can bring clarity to descisions that researacher have to make when disseminating their work.
