What is it about?

Coordination chemistry of phospha-alkynes towards metal complexes.

Featured Image

Why is it important?

The structures were also unique as 7 atoms were all in linear position ie C-C-P-M-P-C-C.

Perspectives

Theoretically phospha-alkynes prefer side-on coordination towards metal complexes, they can coordinate n(1) ie directly via P-atom if the surrounding ligands could be sterically "controlled".
