Why is it important?
In this work, we unprecedentedly demonstrate a large transverse thermoelectric generation based on the anomalous Nernst effect (ANE) in a polycrystalline ferromagnetic material Co2MnGa with an unconventional multilayer structure fabricated on both solid substrates and flexible substrates. Our work paves the way for developing high-performance thermoelectric devices and related energy harvesting technologies, which will allow us to realize novel magnetic devices such as a magnetic sensor and a heat flux sensing with high flexibility.
