What is it about?
Low-voltage operation in polymer transistors, which have great potential for battery-powered flexible electronics, has always been particularly challenging to attain. Here we show that charge trapping may be the hurdle to overcome, and adopt a trap-healing technique to achieve high-performance low-voltage operation. Our approach is successfully applied to complementary circuit integration: we demonstrate solution-based differential amplifiers on foil with cutting edge performance at a power supply voltage of 5V, thus meeting the requirements of battery-powered smart-sensor systems on flexible substrates.
