What is it about?
This work shows that minority carriers are generally present in seemingly unipolar organic semiconductors, and they play an important role in the switching dynamics of organic thin-film transistors. By combining a nanoscale electrical characterization technique (Scanning Kelvin Probe Microscopy) with drift-diffusion simulations, minority carriers are captured in time and space within the active region of organic thin-film transistors, and their effect is studied quantitatively.
