Currently the biobased polymers are applied in many high-tech processes, notably in the field of the biotechnology, which can impact on the public.
Perspectives
these advances, there are still technological barriers that prevent the wider marketing of biopolymers in many applications. This is mainly due to performance and price when compared to conventional polymers. This is a significant challenge for the extensive use of biobased polymers.
