What is it about?
This book chapter explains possibilities to use neural networks for supporting multiple criteria decision making.

Why is it important?
Since nerve nets (although being much larger than typical neural networks) are the basis for human intelligence it appears to be natural to consider neural networks as a suitable tool for supporting human decision making. Focusing on the fact that multiple criteria or objectives are almost always relevant in human decision making we explore the suitability of neural networks for this particular type of problem.
