What is it about?

The study compares several existing maturity and readiness models and discusses various traits. Also, it points to their drawbacks and imperfections. This comparison then uses defined common perspectives to highlight differences among the analyzed models. Finally, it discusses the impact of these findings on business informatics within an organization.

Why is it important?

The main uniqueness of this work is in additional value in the form of proposed solutions. It is not constrained only to raw comparison and raw conclusion of how the analyzed models are different. This article overcomes this frequent approach and adds explanations of why something is happening and how it is possible to proceed to move forward.

Perspectives

This article is the first major publication in an impacted scientific journal within my research. I have to thank my co-author, who helped me significantly with the final form. I consider it even more commendable that this work gained the "Top cited article" award from Willey. On the other hand, it is fair to mention that this publication had opened the door to other even more insightful publications that came later. At the same, its uniqueness in the form of moving boundaries compared to other similar studies is probably the most important.
