What is it about?
The POLS-NIRDx is a polarization spectroscopy-based tool that can be used to differentiate between cancer and adjacent normal breast biopsy tissues by exploring the changes in the degree of linear and circular polarization of light after interacting with the tissues.

Why is it important?
POLS-NIRDx system is cost-effective, and after certain modifications, this can be easily fitted with a microscope and perform polarization-sensitive imaging of the tissue.
