What is it about?
This work evaluated the effects on relieving pain in cutting in the paw of rats, using acupuncture (Chinese needle treatment) performed with lasers instead of needles. This procedure is commonly performed with a laser that emits red light, but other lasers that emit light of other colors can also be effective in reducing pain after surgery. The results showed that the green emission laser was effective in reducing pain and controlling inflammation when compared to the red emission laser. Thus, the green emission laser light source may be another option for the possibility of pain treatment in public health services.
