What is it about?
In this paper, we analysed data collected from in-depth interviews with directors from Australian organisations to provide insights into the black box of boardroom dynamics. The findings show that gender and age diversity on the board enhance CSR decisions, and, in turn, they improve the CSR performance of organizations, and the effectiveness of these relationships depends on the number of women directors, organizational culture, industry regulations, and organizational life-cycle stage.
