What is it about?
Oncoplastic breast surgery combines breast oncology and plastic surgery. The aim is to provide effective surgical treatment of breast cancer whilst maintaining or enhancing the cosmetic appearance of the breast. This article discusses current oncoplastic breast surgery techniques, and the requirement for surgeons to obtain and maintain a wide range of skills to effectively deliver this service.
