What is it about?

In 2022, the Ministerial Statistical Department for Internal Security (SSMSI) conducted the first edition of the new annual victimisation survey in France. It’s a mixed-mode survey (internet, telephone, paper) that replaces the Living environment and security survey, carried out by INSEE using face-to-face interviews between 2007 and 2021. The objective of this article is to present, the main lines of the project that led to the design of this new survey
