What is it about?

Synergies and differences of Interpersonal psychotherapy (IPT) and Mentalizing are highlighted in this paper with a case illustration. Both treatments seek to improve interpersonal effectiveness with complementary intentions: IPT promotes interpersonal problem solving in the context of stressful life events, and Mentalizing promotes understanding of the obstacles to this outcome.
