What is it about?

The Zero Suicide (ZS) model is a promising framework for eliminating suicide among all patients receiving healthcare. Patients with substance use disorders are at a greatly increased risk of suicide or self-harm. There is no known research on specifically integrating the ZS model in addiction treatment settings. This paper encourages clinicians and researchers to integrate the ZS model in addiction treatment and to study its feasibility and effectiveness.
