What is it about?

Caregivers of individuals with severe mental illness experience considerable mental health burdens within the general population, and this is particularly concerning for Asian Americans, who frequently serve as primary caregivers for family members due to cultural values. We explored what has been published on mental health of Asian American caregivers for severe mental illness, and we discuss next steps and future directions for supporting this population.
