What is it about?
Peer specialists are individuals with mental illness and substance abuse disorders trained to use their experiences to help others with similar disorders. Many past studies have shown that peer specialists can help those with mental illness and substance abuse disorders, but some studies have not found this result. This study uses a technique to document reliable pre-post change on symptoms and hope to see if there was a subgroup who got benefit from peer specialists, as part of a larger study.
