What is it about?

Somatization, when emotional distress contributes to physical symptoms, may play a role in concussion recovery in teenagers. This study looked at how doctors identify somatization in this population. We identified some key differences between teenagers with persistent concussion symptoms with and without doctor identified somatization that could improve our ability to identify and treat somatization in this population.
