What is it about?
This paper disseminates a newly developed research definition of recovery from DSM-5 Alcohol Use Disorder for the alcohol treatment field and key stakeholders. The definition incorporates key drinking related processes of remission from DSM-5 AUD and cessation of heavy drinking and acknowledges the importance of quality of life and biopsychosocial outcomes.
