What is it about?

It's about the strategies applied in the translation of taboos in movies into Persian and considering the different types of translations (official and unofficial). The research tried to provide a solution for more qualified audiovisual translation. The present study also aimed at investigating the preferences of official and unofficial translators, and proposing a framework for stated problem in the study.

Why is it important?

The present study is novel in Iran and considered both versions of translations and compared them. It can be possible to evaluate two versions of translations and get inform from the translators ideologies by reading the present study.

Perspectives

It took a lot of time and efforts to publish this article. At first, it seemed difficult to do so, but now it is done. I am very pleased to see our article published thanks to Taylor and Francis. Conducting scientific research especially in human sciences is a tough task in Iran without any support, but fortunately it's done now. I think it would be useful for Translation Studies students who are interested in AV translation to read this article.
