Kudos is looking for an IT Support Technician to support and improve our internal IT systems. You don't need experience in every technology or tool that we use, but you must be keen to learn and quickly fill any gaps in your skills. You must enjoy working collaboratively and have the ability and enthusiasm to learn about all aspects of our internal systems and processes. This role will be the friendly face that we turn to within Kudos if anything is broken or we need assistance with anything IT related and would be perfect for someone looking to develop their career in IT and learn from a growing software company.

Some of the things you'll be doing

  • Acting as first line support for our internal IT helpdesk, including troubleshooting laptops, desktops, phones and cloud based office tools
  • Asset management, including maintaining the list of IT assets, defects, machine lifecycles and standard software installation
  • Security, such as ensuring encryption and security standards are maintained, keeping networking and user devices up to date
  • Office network admin, updating, monitoring and managing printers, wifi, TV dashboards, port patching
  • Access management, dealing with onboarding of employees and system permission changes for employees
  • IT procurement, making recommendations for and aiding in the procurement of any IT equipment that we require
  • Documentation, including common software guidance, onboarding checklists and user training, some of which may be in person

Technologies and tools

Some examples of the tools and technologies that we use include: GSuite, MacOS, Dropbox, Zendesk and Kerio phones.

Skills and requirements

  • You are capable of systematically solving problems, even if you have no idea at the outset what the answer could be
  • You are enthusiastic, friendly and willing to engage with everyone in the company, this is not only a technical role but also a people facing role
  • You're comfortable with MacOS, at least as a user and preferably with a bit deeper knowledge
  • You have experience of using and tinkering with technology, whether that's in a commercial setting or just something you do for fun
  • You have some customer service experience
  • You are self motivated and keen to learn new skills and technologies
